Retail company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their medium-sized retail company located in Staten Island. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of accounting and payroll processing. You will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with our external CPA. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation based on your level of experience.


  • Process and pay accounts payable on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile and post all monthly entries, including Credit Card reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Perform weekly retail stores and register reconciliations for our 14 stores.
  • Close accounting periods in a timely manner to facilitate accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly profit and loss (P&L) reports for the business owner, providing insights and analysis.
  • Reconcile employees’ hours and process bi-weekly payroll runs accurately and on time.

Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in business accounting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Must be proficient with excel and QuickBooks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with numbers and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to see tasks through to completion, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.

This person will work closely with the financial and social work departments. The Financial Analyst and Coordinator will help evaluate financial assistance applications, monitor client progress through our client budgeting tool, and help create client-centric plans that will holistically assist clients.
