Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting management including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Credit Cards etc.
  • Devise formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices • Preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements • Oversee the management of journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing • Preparation of budgets or forecasts on a semi monthly and monthly basis.
  • Development of reports for management or regulatory bodies • Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances

Requirements:

A growing residential management company with a portfolio of around 2,000 units is looking for an experienced competent Sr. Property Manager to oversee the many buildings and Managers.
 
We are seeking an Executive Property Field Manager to manage a team of Managers. You will help plan and facilitate all Building activities and functions.
 
Typical Duties listed:
• Manage all aspects of assigned properties and assigned Managers
• Design plans for assigned properties that suit customers’ needs
• Inspect and arrange overall maintenance/upgrades to meet standards
• Maintain a positive, productive relationship with tenants
• Contracts with tenants by negotiating leases; collecting security deposit.
• Will maintain the many properties by investigating and resolving tenant complaints; enforcing rules of occupancy; inspecting vacant units and completing repairs; planning renovations.
• Repairs- when there is an issue, the property manager must attend to it themselves or must hire someone to attend to it. Will have a large network of reliable plumbers, electricians, carpenters and other contractors.
• Maintenance- will be in charge of performing preventative maintenance to keep the property functioning in top condition. For example, they are personally in charge of, or must hire someone to, exterminate, check for leaks, landscape, shovel snow and remove trash. Will groom the buildings as best as you can. This maintenance aims to keep current tenants happy and attract new tenants.
 
Responsibilities:
• Investigate and help resolve tenant complaints
• Update and improve properties to increase return on investment
• Ensure all work order and repair requests are processed in a timely fashion
• Supervise and train property staff
• Enforce property and associations’ rules and regulations
 
Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in property management or other related fields
• Strong knowledge with real estate contracts and leases
• Ability to build rapport with tenants and Managers
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
