Our Mission
The community of Marine Park has grown tremendously in the recent past – expanding from just a few families to more than 1,000 families over the last 10 years.
The JCC of Marine Park was created in 2008 in response to this rapid growth. As the needs of the community grew, so did the programs of the JCC, working to improve the quality of life for all Marine Park residents.
In addition to providing much needed social services to the Marine Park community and beyond, the JCCMP acts as an advocacy organization, uniting the community ’s voice to better address the needs of the neighborhood and improve the lives of its residents. The JCC has increased voter registration and created a vehicle for residents to speak with local politicians about pressing community issues, building on the knowledge that elected officials take active interest in communities in which residents are actively involved. The JCC of Marine Park works with local legislators to bring funding into the community, advocate on certain zoning issues, and respond to a myriad of needs such as providing additional dumpsters before Pesach.
JCC of Marine Park unites all 14 shuls and 3 schools located within Marine Park and represents them all equally. Although the initial motivation for its creation was the influx and growth of the Jewish community, the JCC of Marine Park advocates on behalf of all the members of the community and all the residents of Greater Marine Park, regardless of race or religious affiliation.
The JCCMP’s goal is simple – to help.
